Executive summary

Mountain ecosystems serve as critical hubs for global biodiversity, sustainable development and local economic resilience. The PeakED project – Environmental Involvement and Education for Young Entrepreneur and Volunteers – was designed to address these complex environmental challenges. Through the implementation of participatory methodologies like Living Labs (LLs), the project pioneers context-sensitive solutions. This expanded document provides actionable guidelines for conducting green audits, designing sustainable outdoor activities, and implementing "green options" to protect mountain environments.
